How to read current in integrated inductors?

1、 The temperature rise current and saturation current of integrated inductors are two important factors to consider in product design:

1. Saturation current Isat: With the change of inductance, as the current passing through the inductance increases, the magnetic density will increase. When magnetic saturation is reached, the inductance of the inductance will rapidly decrease, generally based on the current value when the inductance decreases by 30%. Saturated inductor is an inductor with a high hysteresis loop rectangular ratio, high initial magnetic permeability, low coercivity, and a clear magnetic saturation point. It is often used as a controllable delay switching element in electronic circuits.

2. Temperature rise current Irms: The current at which an electrical device operates at rated voltage and rated power.

3、 Integrated molding current parameter formula:

a. Quality factor Q: A physical quantity that represents the quality of a coil, Q is the ratio of inductive reactance XL to its equivalent resistance, that is, Q=XL/R. The higher the Q value of the coil, the smaller the loss of the circuit. The Q value of the coil is related to factors such as the DC resistance of the wire, the dielectric loss of the skeleton, losses caused by shielding or iron core, and the influence of high-frequency skin effect. The Q value of the coil is usually several tens to one hundred

b. Rated current: Rated current refers to the working current that can ensure the normal operation of the circuit

In addition to the relevant parameters mentioned above, the key parameters for the integrated inductor include: DCR (direct current resistance), saturation current (Isat), voltage resistance, etc.
